Community Change, a local office at Peaslee of a national organization, seeks to empower low-income individuals to improve their communities. Founded in 1968 to honor the values and life of Robert F. Kennedy, the mission of CCC is to build power and capacity of low-income people of color, to have significant impact in improving their communities, and the policies and the policies and institutions that affect their lives. The group believes that everyone has a voice and that it’s only together that we can make changes. The group focuses on immigration, housing, retirement security, and jobs.
